Overview

The GOIS for Blackberry users makes life a little easier for those short of time. Be it a mundane monthly shopping or a regular inventory stock update, GOIS on your Blackberry is a quick handy alternative to manage your tasks efficiently.

This independent mobile application, based on SQLite database, helps you order goods, manage and track your orders and view all transactions in the form of reports. Traders and small businesses can also further track sales and inventory transactions using this application and keep a tab on their revenues.

GOIS has five modules, each designed for a specific task:

• The Order Module
• The Products and Category Management Module
• The Inventory Module
• The Sales Module
• The Reports Module

The Order Module

This module helps you create and manage orders by simply listing the required items and their quantities. You can prepare your order well in advance and mail it across to your supplier, be it a wholesale or a retail store nearby and collect the items personally or get them delivered at your doorstep. Small businesses that require a daily stock update can plan their orders based on the sales of the day, ordering and updating Inventory overnight, without losing much time in the process. All transactions are recorded on your device and can be viewed whenever required.

The Products and Category Management Module

You can define a master list of all your goods / services and group them under relevant categories to track and maintain data more effectively. Predefined product and category details are available as a part of GOIS. You can also create new product and categories based on your needs. Higher versions of GOIS will also enable you to capture any additional product-specific information as required.

The Inventory Module

Creating, maintaining and updating inventory details become very easy with this module. Details like standard sales and purchase price, stock on hand and pending sales can be defined and revised based on fluctuating actual values. Auto-update of inventory can also be done from the Order Module once the order is completed.

The Sales Module

This module offers you an option to track sales by recording actual inventory or just by specifying the product alone. The feature is particularly helpful for those businesses that market services that are difficult to quantify.

You can select the mode of tracking sales by using "More -> Settings -> Track Sale By Inventory" flag. When the option is checked, the user is required to enter a sale quantity against each item. When unchecked, the user can simply specify the product(s) involved in the transaction, without recording the quantity.

The Reports Module

GOIS has four reports to aid your planning and decision making process:

• Profit and Loss
• Closed Orders
• Inventory On-Hand
• All Transactions

Using these reports, you will be able to get an accurate picture of all transactions in terms of revenue, stocks and completed orders.
